we created systems that show up for show time
South Coast Chorale is a pillar of the queer community in Long Beach. People come here to feel seen, to stay connected, to be part of something that reflects their lives back to them. Their team is producing performances, promoting shows, and trying to fill seats with limited time, rotating volunteers, and a budget that doesn’t allow for starting over every season.
We partnered with them to build campaigns and a system that supports how they actually operate. Across three seasons, we created posters, social, and full performance programs, along with reusable templates and repeatable structures their team can use on their own. This reduces production cycles, cuts down revisions, and makes it possible to move quickly without losing quality. The creative shows up with the scale of a major production, and the system behind it makes that level sustainable.

A system that helps small teams do big things
We built a visual language that holds together across seasons while adapting to each performance. Custom typography, flexible layouts, and clear structure give the team a reliable way to create new materials without second-guessing every decision.
Canva templates for programs and social. Clean, usable brand assets. Leveraging AI tools like Gamma to author decks they can bring into fundraising conversations. Everything is designed to save time, reduce dependency, and give the team confidence in what they’re putting out. This is how a small organization operates with consistency and momentum.
Built to keep showing up, season after season
With the right system in place, every touchpoint can do its job. Posters that stop someone mid-step. Programs people hold onto. Social that feels considered, not rushed. Everything working together instead of starting over.
When it’s clear what people are being invited into, they come. Turnout gets stronger. Messaging stays consistent. The organization shows up with confidence, every time, without needing more people or more budget to make it happen.
An editable system, not a one-off poster
For South Coast Chorale, we built the full kit a small team needs to show up every season: campaign creative, custom typography, a flexible layout language, program and social templates, and the structure that holds it all together. Posters, performance programs, and socials for three seasons, each one distinct, each one unmistakably SCC. The visual system does the heavy lifting so the creative can take real swings.
That’s what we build for every mission-led organization. Sometimes it’s a brand identity from scratch, sometimes it’s a brand kit and system layered onto what you already have, sometimes it’s a fundraising deck for a board meeting next Tuesday. The goal is the same: tools that look like a major production and are easy enough for a volunteer to use on a weeknight
Built for volunteers, rotating staff, and no budget to start over
Most arts organizations run on heart and a spreadsheet. SCC’s team changes season to season, nobody has a full-time designer, and public arts funding is close to zero per person. So the system was designed to remove decisions, not add them. Canva templates for programs and social. Clean, labeled brand assets. Clear rules for type, color, and layout that mean a new volunteer can make something on-brand in an afternoon.
Fewer decisions means fewer revisions, faster turnaround, and a lot less back-and-forth with a designer for every piece. Your team stops guessing and starts producing. When something needs to go out tomorrow, it goes out tomorrow, and it still looks like you.
The system is yours, and so are we
SCC runs the day-to-day on their own, and that’s the point. Templates, assets, and even AI tools like Gamma for fundraising decks were set up so the team has what they need without us in the loop. Nobody is locked into a retainer to keep the lights on.
We prioritize butts in seats
When people can tell what they’re being invited into, they come. For SCC, three seasons of consistent creative meant a Long Beach audience could spot a Chorale show from across the street and know exactly what kind of night they were in for. The programs got kept, the posters got photographed, and the work earned a DEI in Advertising award along the way. A cohesive, confident presence also makes every ask land harder, whether that’s a ticket, a donation, or a grant renewal.
The team feels it too. Opening a season with the system already built means the energy goes into the music and the message instead of the layout. That’s the real return on a system like this: it’s there for the current team, the next team, and the one after that, ready to go the moment someone picks it up.
